I'm Dimitri I live in West-Flanders in a little town called Meulebeke.
I'm a ICT student (information and communication technology) and computercrazy.
I run seti@home on just 1 pc (my own) and sometimes on my dads machine.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe that there is a possibility that ET-life exists. I don't know if and when we are gonna discover it, but it wil most likely will be thanks to the SETI@home project.
I began to run seti@home to stress my newly bought pc to see what it could do and if it would crash after a period of time. (I put it together myself so I wanted to know if it was stable or not.)
But seti is still on my hdd and is likely to stay there forever.
I guess I just like the Idea that my pc is contributing to something of value.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
