Personal background
So, about me....I was born in the '60's in a small town north of Sacramento. Mom and Dad had a grocery store, and I spent a lot of time in the back of the store playing and getting into trouble. I would wait until it got really busy, then hide and open up all the toys in the toy aisle. Mom had to get rid of that part after profits were down due to a small 4 year old! Other times when it would get busy, you could find me over at the magazine rack flipping through the pages of Playboy. I think I must have been about 5. Soon after that, those magazines were put on the very top shelf. I used to rollerskate in the store, not just in the back part, but right down the middle of the aisles! Life was interesting then. Dad died when I was 10, and soon after that, Mom sold the store. I graduated 7th in my class (out of 38!) and started junior college. I was a music major, and this is where I really started to grow. I transferred to Sacramento State University and continued my education in music (what was I thinking?!?!) I met my first wife in music history class. We dated and got married, had a beautiful daughter, divorced, and now we are best friends. All within a span of only 14 years! I did remarry, but I really try not to remember that. However, I learned a great deal from wife #2, mostly what I don't want in a relationship! So here I am now, with a great daughter who has so many interest such as piano, clarinet, gymnastics, and sewing, a wonderful family, a great extended family in my first ex wife. I'm currently studying American Sign Language. I have completed all of my sign courses, and am now starting the Interpreter Training Program at American River College. I am learning so much and meeting some really nice people along the way.

I first heard about the SETI program from the newspaper. I looked forward to the time when I could help look for other life, and when it became available, I was quick to jump on board. I will continue to be a member of SETI@home for as long as the program exists.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think there is extraterrestrial life out there. I don't know when we will discover it, but it is out there to be discovered. I can't imagine that we are the only lifeforms in this huge universe.
