Personal background
Hi peeps,

I'm Drew L. Clarke, a 20 year old Biology degree student from Southampton in England. My interests include: Biology (obviously), website design and programming, computing and Star Trek. You may well say that this last one is a pre-requisite for Seti@home, but I don't believe that is the case. I believe most of the users either have a genuine interest in communication with other worlds, or a genuine desire to help those who do. Personally, I would class myself as a bit of both!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
My personal beliefs have been somewhat shaped by the fact that I have studied life on this planet for many years, and so I definitely believe that there is life on other planets; it's simply a matter of finding it.
Thankfully for us, that's exactly what the people who participate in Seti@home are trying to do! Unfortunately, any aliens may be too far away or not advanced enough to be of any use but that must not deter us.

(Fanfare)For we are Homo sapiens sapiens and our inherent curiosity will one day I'm sure, reap rewards far beyond our wildest imaginations (or our wildest Star Trek episode. heh. heh.) (End Fanfare)
