Personal background
I'm a computer guy in St. Louis, working for a small web hosting company TRYING TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD. I find I must control myself so that I don't put seti@home on every server I control thereby creating MY OWN CLONE ARMY. I spend much of my time finishing my sentences WITH THE CAPS LOCK KEY ON.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
E.T.'s must exist; how else do you explain the alient technology I'm using to type this note? At some point we'll get enough episodes of I Love Lucy out into space to make extraterrestrial life HAVE to come and visit us just to see what this planet is about.

I love the seti@home project because it's cool that we might (however remotely possible) find something, and also because it gives me the ability to gloat about how many units I've completed to my friends, although gloating about my W.U.'s to said friends usually just results in lots of head-shaking and mumbling.
