Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Obviously no one can prove as yet that intelligent extraterrestrial life exists on other worlds (it is rare enough on Earth) but if we don't search we will never know. Although I don't know that life exists off Earth I BELIEVE that it does. As for sending a beacon of our own it seems a logical thing to do. We are assuming that others are sending a beacon for us to here, maybe ET is waiting for ours. I run SETI@home because it requires very little effort and my one day make a difference.
