Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1)
Yes absolutely. If you say, the creation of Earth and life forms was purely co-incidental then there is fair chance of another co-incidence like this somewhere else in another milky way with another sun.

I have no idea how humans will dicover it but when they do it would be very intersting. It will like a parallel world of sci-fi movie. It is quite possible that we may find these world either less advance-because the human like creatures went through a totaly devasting war like WW3-or much more advanced because the same human like creature did not believe in figting with each other.

And I think it will be very beneficial in either case. Either we learn from them or teach them.

2)Yes we should at least try. It really does not matter at this moment. We can send anything.

3)This concept is great. I run SETI@home because I am hopefull that we will find something some day. It's like buying a lottery ticket to me only that odds are infinetely less. But the more we learn ,greater is the chance of finding extraterrestrial life forms.

Suggestions:
1) I started two week ago so I am very enthusiastic. But in absence of any results which is understandable to me I might loose interest. So I suggest whenever I finish processing a unit you should send me a mail or post on net describing the out come. Currently the results are greek to me.

2) When I started Scrren Saver was the sole purpose of joining SETI@home so can it be changed from time to time or may be provid more personal settings.
