| I'm from Miami; I came here in 1989 after suffering a stroke. Originally from New York, I went to the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where I studied philosophy; I was one third of the way through my dissertation when I stroked out -- not that studying philosophy had anything to do with it!!! Since I've been in Miami, I've had a much easier life -- and the weather is beautiful (other than the occasional hurricane). I've studied a lot about ancient Egypt, and would love to go there someday. I also help out at Take Stock in Children, a free scholarship program for anyone who finishes High School. In March of 2002 I had another stroke, and most of my time nowadays is spent in physical therapy. |
