Personal background
At age 40, I'm still searching for life in outer space. I remember when I was a kid
in the 60's and The Original Star Trek was first on, I use to think that someday
we would find life outside our solar system. So now, 34 years, I'm still watching
Star Trek, and I'm helping to find that life that I still believe exists.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I've always believed that it is an arrogant assumption on our part to think
that we are the only intelligent life forms in the whole of the universe.

Even if we don't find other intelligent life in the universe in my lifetime,
I believe it exists and I believe that when we're ready, and the rest of the
universe is ready to accept us, we'll find out what's really out there.

In the mean time, as long as I can afford the electric bill, I'll keep my computers
cranking away on seti@home packets.

I have two Ultra Sparcs, and 3 pcs that run all the time. I'm not the best
seti@home user, but I'm making a contribution just the same.
