Personal background |
I'm a 48-year old self-employed software contractor from Luxembourg. I live in a small village (pop 350) in a small country (pop 400,000), that's maybe why the vastness of the universe, and the life waiting to be discovered out there, is so appealing. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
Extraterrestrial life exists. Whether sentient extraterrestrial life exists is a different matter - after all, even though there's a lot of evidence that in the right circumstances life happens, there is no real evidence that intelligence is not a fluke. That's of course why the SETI project is so interesting.
I run SETI@home because the project is fascinating, and because it gives my machines something to do while idle. It's also a nice way to compare processor speed. |
