Personal background
i am 48 years old and live in Birmingham England.
I served in the royal navy from 1969 at the age of 15 till i left in 1976.
i now work for a marine instruments manufacture,doing some firmware and hard ware design.
i when to france in 1999 to watch the total eclipse and photograph it, that was very interesting,and intend to go to australia to see the 2002 eclipse in december funds permitting.
i also enjoy mounting biking
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1, well yes i think extraterrestrial life must exists ortherwise the univerce would be a very lonly place. but of course it might be our responsiblity to go out there and colinise other worlds. the same has we have done in the past with this one.
2, yes i think we should but be carefull no what we send just in case we open a pandoras box.
3, yes i do run seti@home i now live the computer on 24 hours a day and when i am not using it seti runs in fact it runs when i am using it.

4, how come the data is so old being dated 1999 ect
5 how meny more users do you need to catch up with today.
