Personal background
I am currently a student studying for my Bachelors in Computer Science. I am 19 years of age, and am currently living in NJ. Technology is one of my many passions along with science in general. I would describe myself as an agnostic atheist and feel that religios beliefs inherently hold back the developement of technology and knowledge.

My favorite internet sites include:
www.infidelguy.com
www.talkorigins.org
www.endtheignorance.com
www.atheistnetwork.com

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I would like to use the quote from contact to answer this, but I'm sure it has been used enough. If you do not know what I am refering to, check out the movie. Then you'll undestand. 1b. When and how?? Who knows.... hopefully in my life time.... 1c. The possibilites are endless. My favorite consequence would be to see the response of the nations theists, and especially the reaction of christians.

2. We already do, we have been since somewhere in the 1940's or 50's. Television, although I am not sure how powerful a broadcast it actually is.

3. I run SETI@HOME because it is by far the most effective way for my computers downtime to be used. What could be better than helping out science, even in the smallest way. It is an oustanding project which utilizes distributed datd analyzation. That is one of the most impressive solutions to compensate the problem of buying out super computer time. Suggestions: MORE DATA =)
