Personal background
Hello, planet seekers!

My name is Diego. I'm from Sevilla, south Spain, a very very beautiful city. I'm a physicist and am currently working on my PhD at University of Cranfield, UK.

You can see images of Sevilla in the film Star Wars, Episode II (#15 Return to Naboo): A large semi-circular building holding a square with an inner round channel. Also in Lawrence of Arabia, the Arabian Palace at Ákaba.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think SETI program is amazing. Although the probability of receiving a signal from an ET civilization is very small, I think we have to try it! Finding an ETI signal would be one of the most important achievements for humanity, not only for the promise of new technologies but also for the simple fact of not being alone in the Universe.

I think governments should spend less money in weapons and more in science. Knowledge, communication and collaboration are keys for a peaceful progress. In this way, SETI Program is one example of what humanity can do joining efforts.
