| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. Who can seriously state that there is NO life out there? But i'm convinced we will discover it by coincidence. the possible benefits and dangers are the same of every discovery ever made...
2. But we already DO transmit signals in the outer space! Or do you really think, that every Signal we send to our satelites is blocked behind them?
3. I do run SETI@Home because i want to know where the life is we talk about. And if we don't find it the results of the search may help us in the future to discover and elucidate secrets we can't imagine yet today. |
