Profile: Henrik Ljoerring

Personal background
I'm a 20 year old man from Denmark, who has been interested in radio-astronomy as long as i can remember and find myself lucky to be a part of this great search! I'm working for an american IT-company called SYMBOL TECHNOLOGIES and I'm thinking about becoming an astronomer because of my interest in SETI and the search for life...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run Seti@home because i think that it is one of the most brilliant and important projecs of our time... I find myself lucky to be part of it, and I could imagine with projects like this for the rest of my life... I know the what we are looking for may be hard to find and that the odds (maby) are against us but that is no reason to stop trying!!! If someone from the sky are really trying to contact us, knowing that we have the technology and means to be able to pick up such a signal, I would hate to be the one that just sits back in my chair and says: "Oh never mind searching for something that doesn't exist" knowing that there's a slight possibility that that "something" actually existed....
