Profile: Stormy Ann

Personal background
My name is Stormy: Ulmer (http://www.agathocacological.com was my site, but this one is currently down, sorry!) (http://www.silvertear.htmlplanet.com is the only site I have up at the time and I hardly ever update it; though thinking about it now I hardly ever did anything productive with it when I was using it more... kind of a goof off site), I was born & raised, in Killeen, Texas (which, since Ft. Hood, a military base, is responsible for the Killeen existing, it is uncommon for anyone to be born & raised there.). I moved to Austin at the age of 20 and have now resided here for almost 8 years. I am currently employed at Kayser Sales & Marketing. I was hired April 28, 2003 as a Receptionist; about a month later I changed my title to Admin. Asst. :). My current titles are Receptionist, Admin. Asst., Accounting, & IT... quite the mix, huh? Now I need to work on getting my raise that is a bit more than a month past due... lol but don't get me wrong I LOVE MY JOB!! Not very many people can honestly say that about their job and even worse not many can say that about their careers! I am a Science junkie in general, but I am especially interested in Space. I read on all aspects of space, from travel, to composition, to pure speculation, any knowledge I am lucky enough to receive, I treasure! I hope one day to be able to go to school and to make a career out of my life long passion (science), but I find school a bit hard to start since I have a 8 year old son whom I love dearly and is very well behaved and self sufficient, but requires a lot of attention, making me doubt if I could delegate my time between home & school evenly. I also create & maintain websites and currently have thrown myself, head first, into helping inform people of the true state of the world, about how we as a people are being used and manipulated for the betterment of a select few. Check out http://www.infowars.com for more information. (not my site, but it is BETTER!) TRUTH = KNOWLEDGE = POWER
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have been a Seti@Home user for about 4.23 years. I signed up right after the project started. I am happy to say that I have helped process approx. 1,600 units of data! Woo Hoo! I leave my computer on most of the time, just for the purpose of processing data units, even though, I do not think, I have had any significant results found (that link now gone, hey SETI guys, what happened to that?). I truly believe that we are not alone in this universe and I believe that most likely the Earth has been visited by extraterrestrials and that we (as a civilization) possibly are not advanced enough for them to actively pursue contact with us. I am very hopeful that one day we will discover the truth, and can only dream that I will be around to see it happen and that I may, possibly, have a hand in the discovery (wishful thinking, but if it happens I want some credit my SETI buds! lol). I believe that the goal of Seti is a modest one, in comparison in the grand scope of things, but I do believe that this project is plausible and will return positive results, although I am unsure of any time frame. I do hope that the SETI project will be able to secure more Dish time on larger systems so that the chances of us finding a signal will increase. Longer scans mean increased chances!
I was fortunate enough to be selected as SETI@Home User of the Day on, Tuesday, Aug 07, 2001 and also on Thursday, August 28, 2003; Thanks SETI guys! Ya'll RULE!
