Personal background
I could tell you that I'm 27 years old and finishing my high school in Switzerland getting my grade in computer science and software enginering.
I could add that I like playing volleyball and that I train some regional player (girls) selection.
I could end up by saying that I live in a really nice town along a big lake and some mountains behind it.
But really, who cares ???

Well, if I were rich, I would build a big house and tell people to come here for their holidays because it would be really worth it and they would enjoy a lot!

But I'm not rich, not yet :-p

What I have to say here is that I've been computing packets for Seti since 1999 and I hope we'll get once some realistic results. Meanwhile, when I look at my mother acting really strangly when she sees my 15 months old niece, I realize that those extraterrestres we are looking for aren't that far 8-D

Well, 2 last things:
1) If you think you're a loser and you won't ever be first doing something then remember that once, you were the one and only 1st spermatozoon to make it to the ovule!

2) Have a nice day! (it's always cool when at least someone wish you a nice day..)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that extraterrestrial life does exist, but, have you ever seen an ant from europa meet one from australia ?? maybe we'll be able once to say them "hello" in a microphone and that would be cool already. If you want more right now, go read some comics ( or enjoy the most recents movies )

About the beacon question: should we transmit one for others to find?
Humans are so "one-way" thinking that they won't think about if they should or not transmit a beacon; they just will do it ! omg.. they did it !
And since we're sending one, we should say that: we're over populated and that half the population has already gone crazy. Whatever they come for, this can't be bad ! (btw, some intelligent dude said once that laughing is the real particularity of our specices, since we are so clever.. )

Now about space.. Yoda (@copyright Starwars(tm)) would say: space is void, void is hopeless.
And I would add: let's hope finding something in space, let's hope in the hopeless. Damn, what a challenge! I'm in !!!

Ok, so everyone agrees or not to our ultimate species question: we're not alone (even Michael jackson said it! hint, hint!). Trust me or not, but we'll find something.. perhaps sooner than you all think!
Ah.. no. not tomorrow! but soon enough so if you're reading this now, you won't be dead by that time unless you're 80 years old..
