I am a 35 year old man who is married and I have two small chlidren; Michael Shawn Stivers, Jr. age 3 and Margaret Ann Stivers age 2. When not takeing care of my family or watching the sky for signs of life other then our own, I build computers for a living.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do not think that with all the stars in the sky and all the planets the circle them ours can be the only one with life on it. If your planet were the only one to have life on it then this truly would be a lonely world. Don't you think? I am sure that there are planets out there like ours that support life. The life on those planets may be facing the same problems that we face. There may be life that was over come the problems that we are facing now. And there may be life that can't even dream of the problems that we have. For those with problems like our own I would like to see all of us come together to over come these problems. For those that have already over come the problems that we face I would hope that they would help us to over come as they did. And for those that have yet to face the problems they we do I would hope that we could help them to never have to face such problems.
