Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that ET life does exist. I think that it will be accidental that we meet the ET's. The possible dangers include this country's (USA) paternalistic overprotective attitude.
We should transmit a welcoming beacon for others to find. I imagine that any ET's would resemble humans, or even be human!
I run SETIATHOME because I want to help analysing the data through my participation.
I'd like some e-mail notification explaining what my efforts, and that of other participants has netted.
