I want to help. I don't use all of my CPU at any given moment and what better way to utilize it than such a project.
I don't think we'll ever hear ET, but we may. As long as the chance exists we should, and if we can, we might as well.
When we do hear the next WOW signal, and it isn't trasient, it will change human perception of the universe and our place in it. We might even push to get 'out there.'
