| Before I retired I was an email postmaster and programmer professionally (I have had a home computer since 1982). My hobbies include rockhounding (I am a systematic mineral collector specializing in type locality specimens), lapidary (including faceting), weather (I run a weather station and am a trained storm spotter), vegetable gardening, amateur astronomy, and ham radio (KE8EAL). I am a leap year baby. I have four birth children and my wife and I were foster parents for 25 years. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. I ran SETI@home because I am a geek and want to know if we are not alone. When I heard you were ending the program you excited me to process some more data.
2. I have always thought the project was well run, even though you did lose the data from my original home account at some point.
3. I wish there was a way to consolidate my three accounts.
