My thoughts on the threat of war with Iraq: Don't send 100,000 troops.
Just nuke the jerk from orbit. It's the only way to be sure. Warn the
civilians ahead of time, of course so they have time to leave Baghdad.

Never accept a wooden nickel or buy a Ford Windstar. The resale value is
about the same.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I think ET exists? Of course he does. I believe in ghod but can't
believe that if he created a universe as vast as this one Earth would be
his only experiment. There must be billions of others. Otherwise, ghod
would have become quite bored a long long time ago. Ya know? I mean
like, wouldn't you if you were ghod???

I participate in setiathome because after leaving Bell Labs in 1999
it's the only research I can take part in anymore. Yea, I know there
are other similar projects but I prefer this one.

Never send a beacon telling others where you are unless you are in deep
deep doo-doo with no other way out. Doing so could result in even deeper
doo-doo to deal with when the receivers show up. Thats a truth here on
Earth and I have a feeling it's probably a universal truth too.
