Profile: Luis E. Tirado-Calzada

Personal background
I'm originally from Aguada, Puerto Rico. I first heard about SETI@home on a web site a long time ago, well, the radiotelescope being in Puerto Rico, I decided to sign up.

I'm currently an Electrical Engineering PhD candidate graduate student at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Hobbies? um... playing an occasional video game, hiking, kayaking, and foreign films, among other things.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm sure extraterrestial life exists somewhere in the universe given we haven't even discovered the universe boundaries yet. I run SETI@home mainly because I believe in the chance that this project will discover a few signals worth following in addition to increasing our understanding of the universe.
