I'm a physicist working self employed in software industry
which allows me to spend a lot of time in some research projects.
First of all I'm writing programs based on Neural Networks to
help dolphin researchers to find similar patterns in dolphin
whistles. The second project is just in the beginning:
At the 10 m and 25 m Radiotelscopes "Stockert" near Bad Muenstereifel,
Germany, which is now in private hand, we want to make some
radioastronomy projects starting with the pulse radar projects
together with Arecibo this autumn.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I'm sure, extraterrestrial life does exist,
but I'm not so sure about the kind of intelligence.
May be there is an intelligent lifeform on our planet,
which we are not able to understand because the
language and the way they are using their intelligence
is quite different from ours (I'm speaking about whales;-)
Hopefully my contribution with the Neural Networks and other
program stuff will help to find out more about these interesting things...
