I'm Kim. I'm citizen of the USA, here on Earth. I often look at my Seti@Home running, and try to dream about what it would be like to have a packet of information that ran on my computer be a critical link to our search for other intelligent life in this Universe.
I think of what I would like to ask an intelligent life form from another planet, especially one intelligent enough to have actually sent out a message to us. I might ask...
How did you achieve peace on your planet?
Can you help us with poverty, pollution and overpopulation?
Do you plan to invade us, destroy us or eat us?
Don't you just hate all this reality television?

| I do believe there is extraterrestial life. I'm not so sure that they've already been here and interacted with us. I can only imagine what a space-faring or communicating race would think of our quarrelsome ways. I'm not sure a beacon is necessary. Simply by the fact we broadcast television and radio, our presence is being adequately announced. I really hope Aliens like reruns of Friends, but don't judge us all by that. I run SETI@home just to help out with something about which I've been deeply curious all my life. |
