I'm a 53 year (*1951) old mailman from the Netherlands, living in the capital of one of the northern provinces of my country. I love to read and watch SF books and movies. I'm living with my three cats and that's enough for the moment :)
My other hobbies are astronomy, listening to music (from house to classical), watching movies, strolling around the internet and if possible, drive a car :) |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run SETI@home (BOINC) because my computer is online 24/7, so the processor is free for this task a lot of time. Although a lot of people around think that chasing for aliens is a waste of time, I think that it is hard to believe that Earth is the only planet in the universe that inhabits life or that mankind is the only species with an intellectual mind.
So, by crunching work units I'm trying to help discovering new life.
My only concern is that we may not be able to establish contact with a new life form within my lifetime, and that's a bummer :( |
