| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I think that extraterrestrial life exists - but it might be so far away that we can´t discover it yet (of didn´t, so far). But in the future this might be possible.
As for the "danger"... ET-life could be dangerous (everything can) - but if extraterrestrials really wanted to attack earth, they could do it without us doing scientific researches like SETI. Just to say that I don´t think research for extraterrestrial intelligence can be dangerous. And in the end I think that extraterrestrials are not more dangerous or more agressive than humans... They are even perhaps much nicer - who knows!
Humanity might be able to contact extraterrestrials in some hundred years - by travelling through space (at least I hope so!). But today, we could already be able to find at least some signals from them. That´s why I run SETI@home. |
