Why do you run SETI@home?
Anfang der '70 habe ich das erste mal über SETI gelesen. Ich weiß auch das diese Forschungsarbeit sehr teuer aber eben nicht sehr spektakulär ist. Für mich ist es eine Große Freude mich an einer, wie ich glaube, sehr wichtigen Wissenschaftlichen Arbeit beteiligen zu können. Ich glaube nicht daß wir die "LGM" entdecken, aber vielleicht lernen wir viel über "unser" Universum.
Thoughts about ETI
I think, everything is possible.
It must be a Civilisation Type II or III and they will be very old. Think about the things we can do in 500 or 1000 years. There are two opportunities: we are very mighty or we are very dead. If we are mighty --> would we kill an another Civilisation, for what? for the Planet? Why?! If we get a contact, we should transmit our own signal to ET!
