Personal background
I am 33 years old and I live in germany in the former capital town "Bonn" (now it is "Berlin").
I'm interested in all things belonging to science and especially in visualisation/computer graphics. I started working with computer graphics in the early 80's and wrote my own 2D-graphics libraries; later on I went to 3D graphics. In the 90's I started to develop a concept of a 3d graphics hardware to produce life like computer graphics in realtime. To understand life like you have to watch the movie MATRIX where the environment in which people live is so realistic that they cannot distinguish between reality and imagination.
To produce such visual effects is my goal.

As you can imagine there is not only the difficulty of displaying real looking images, but also animating highly complex objects.
Not all problems are solved yet, but it takes a long time to do so.

[We are still looking for potent and competent(!) investors].

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Extraterrestial life? Yes - but when ? To me it seems that there is a time critical factor that can prevent recognition of extraterrestial life:
When we look into the galaxy or universe the light we receive is several thousends if not millions of years old. From our history we know that mankind is able to send or receive information for about 100 years. Think of a developing science and developing transmission efficiency and method. Wouldn't it be probable that new methods are completly incompatible to our methods used today ? [Maybe using tachions, quarks or whatever].
So at least we have a minimum of two major problems: the time window and the transmission compatibility.
It seems to me that only one solution to the transmission compatibility problem exist: we could SEND a signal. The probability that higher intelligence can track this (low intelligence) signal is orders higher than vice versa.

What signal to send ? Difficult ...
1) It should show that it's source from intelligent life
2) It should show that we are peaceful
3) It should be able to be received without errors (error correction info is index to show 1.)
4) It should have a "time-code". A general information about the sending time.
5) It should define a source from where it is exactly

:-) Maybe we can generate a 3d-model of the galaxy and the solar system (only coordinates) and code it in a simple form ... ?! Compact it ? ==> intelligence is needed to solve (but this is needed anyway to receive the signal)

ok - that's all for today
Bye
