The seti project may very well be approaching saturation, meaning, it wont be able to keep up with the general populace as they get more involved with faster and better computers.

2) Message boards : Technical News : recent woes (Message 1040892) Posted 11 Oct 2010 by Roger Post: for every two days of downtown there is going to be one day of backlog, and ever approaching epigy of one on one. Meaning one day down one day backlog. At this point, if seti does come back online it would have to run almost none stop for almost a month just to keep up with the workload, before it starts to break even enough to afford scheduled downtime maintenance.
