1) Questions and Answers : Windows : Two New Problems after Windows 10 Creators Update (Message 1862029)

1. BOINCSCR.EXE won't start on its own either with Screen Timeout or Lockscreen Screensaver Preview. Starting it Manually results in it running in a window, not full-screen. This is Not Fixed by Disabling Game Mode and Reboot. Other screensavers, including added OpenGL ones work properly after the update.

2. BOINC Manager: NVIDIA GPU is Not Detected and refuses to run work units until after Game Mode is Disabled and a Reboot to clear it. It seems fine after disabling Game Mode and Reboot, though BOINC Manager leaves a whole bunch of "GPU Missing, Suspended" work units in the queue.

These problems happen on both Home and Pro Windows 10 Creators Update - 32bit and 64bit, respectively.

Did you recently get the Windows 10 Creators Update? If yes, then your BOINCSCR.EXE won't start anymore.

Also, NVIDIA GPU is not Detected and won't Run until Game Mode is Disabled since the Windows 10 Creators Update is applied.[/quote]
3) Questions and Answers : Windows : New version of Win10 not running BOINC Screensaver (Message 1861819)

I went through this problem also. BOINC.scr is still set as the screensaver under Personalize Lock Screen etc. after Creators Update went on, but it will not engage on Preview there or after the 5 minute time-out.

BOINC.SCR will no longer launch on this update.
Bubbles and the other internal screensavers work fine.

Also, the NVIDIA GPU would not be detected or run in SETI@HOME until after I Disable Game Mode and Reboot.
