Here are a couple of photos I took this afternoon.

I like that. I like the first version better, I don't know why, maybe because I saw it first. It makes me want to go there.

I'm waiting for a clear night, then I want to go out and take more night views around my area. I'll have to wait until we get some seasonal winds to clean out the haze from the air.

This used to be my favorite:

I can't drink alcohol anymore, it goes straight to migraine.
If you would like to try it, be sure to get the Green Chartreuse, not the Yellow. The Yellow doesn't taste as good. And drink it straight, no ice or mixers.

That is a very good shot Kenzie. I like the fact that there is no blurring of the subject or background.

I was going to say the same thing. Very sharp photo for a one-handed moving shot. (Maybe a little bit of the Brett Favre gene in there). I get blurry photos when I'm standing still aiming carefully with 2 hands. I have a whole set labeled "blurry photos" in my Flickr, and I'm not talking Greta Garbo soft focus.
.
The train in the middle is the best part of the photo for me. I like all of the contrast and texture of the other components, too.

I did photoshop it a bit to add contrast and enhance the colours (I photoshop everything). As for the rest, well, ISO to 1600 and fire away. :)

I always Photoshop everything to some degree, too. But ISO 1600 on that photo? Wow, very low noise. I need a new camera. I still use a 6 year old Canon D60. I can't use anything beyond ISO 400. I want the Canon 5D Mark II so bad. And some more CF cards. And another lens or 2. And a bigger bag to put it all in. And....

I haven't done much action photography, but I did do a soccer game. It was good practice. I got a few good photos from that.

I give up. I can't figure it out. How does this thread work?

Our esteemed OP (Original Poster) Stealth Eagle is in charge. He's probably got a number in mind (usually somewhere near around 1000 posts) where he'll arbitrarily make a choice as to who wins. It's a totally silly game that just encourages about the most trivial senseless posts you can come up with to keep "one-upsmaning" your fellow posters. For now, we're just biding our time and helping to get the count up to a level approaching the cut-off. (Which only Stealth Eagle knows.) Then it'll get real active. :-)

Unlike the original creator of this thread game here, Stealth has actually given warnings when it's getting close, so it'll really get frenzied then. :-)

Ok, now I get it. This also seems a lot like Twitter...

Those look like some of LA's finest.

Actually Burbank. This was a huge animal adoption (huge event, not huge animals) held in Johnny Carson Park right across the street from NBC. They gave a presentation about being cops on horseback. They told us the horseback program is all volunteer. They get their regular salary, but they are required to pay for the purchase, boarding, and training of their horse themselves, and there is no guarantee the horse will be accepted into the program after the training is complete. They enjoy it so much they are willing to do all of that.

Again another very good photo smithjones. Almost makes you want to climb aboard and go for a ride.

.
Thanks again. I have lots of great photos of kids of all ages, but I'm reluctant to post them because I don't have consent forms and I don't want those photos to start turning up on the internet without permission. If I can track down some permissions, then I might post them. Until then, I think I'm safe posting animal photos.
.
I like to photograph (I don't like to say "shoot") animals and people going about their normal lives, with little or no posing or prearranging. I don't do much landscape or flowers or inanimate objects. I haven't done any real artistic types of photos, but that may come in the future.

I was going to post a photo I took today but I am having trouble with photobucket.

I switched from using Flickr as a source of these photos to using my ISP, which provides personal website space as part of the monthly service. I think most IPSs do that. That might be an alternative to Photobucket if your ISP provides that.
