(Message 119388) Posted 5 Jun 2005 by Windtalker Post: Hello guys, I happen to have this pretty old computer, Pentium 233 MHz MMX with 64 MB of RAM. It has a hard drive of 1.3 GB but has only 400 MB left and is running Win 98. Now I installed BOINC and tried to get some work to be done but it has just given some error messages. Yesterday it didn't work because the server was down and I tried again tomorrow. Now it gave me messages saying that my computer lacks memory. From prefences in the seti website I have many times changed the amount of free disk space required to download and run any work, but still it doesn't work. What might be the problem? I read a bit of the FAQ by Paul Buck (got the name right?) and he was wondering that BOINC requires around 64 MB of memory.
