Since you're new you might want to check the links in my signature. I have an explanation of the various parts of BOINC in the question "What is client, server, application, manager?" in the Seti Enhanced FAQ. There's loads of other information specific to SETI there and very detailed information about BOINC itself in the BOINC WIKi link in my sig. BTW, ALL other copies of the SETI Enhanced Application FAQ you may see on the Internet are outdated. The ONLY up to date one is the one in my signature. (This even includes the faq contents in the sticky here in the forums however I have posted a link in the sticky to reach the "live" FAQ.) Welcome to BOINC and SETI at Home. Have fun! A weird thing happened,using an optimized seti app seti would run even when BOINC was shut down,if id restart BOINC and shut it down it would have no effect. Strange isnt it. BTW was using the Chicken app.
