I have installed BOINC and have successfully attached to other projects, but I can't attach to seti. Originally i tried creating a new SETI account in BOINC manager and that didn't work, i got a failed to attach message. Then i went to the website and tried to convert my classic account to a BOINC account, but that was two days ago now and i still have yet to receive the email with my account key. So, now i have created a new account via the website, and when i try to use that information in BOINC I still get a failed to attach message.

So what exactly is going on, i have heard all the useless information about servers being bogged down, and i have made sure that appropriate ports are open and whatnot, i just want a straight answer to this one, because none of the garbage i have been told explains why my account key hasn't been emailed or why i can't attach to the project, so please, a little useful information would be much appreciated.

I am running Mac OS X 10.4.3 on my PB G4

Ok, so i am starting to figure out BOINC now i think. I have got rosetta@home up and running fine, but i can't attach to SETI@home. I have tried creating a new account in BOINC Manager and i get a "Failed to attach" message. I have tried creating a new account online and using that as my account in BOINC manager and this time it sits and thinks for a while and then says the same thing. I have tried to update from my old account, and now it has been a good 20 minutes and i still have not received the email with my new account key. So if there is anyone who can offer some help that would be great.

I run a PowerBook G4, Mac OS X 10.4.3
