Can someone please tell me how "anonymous" the #1 person on the top computers lists has the same exact computer as I do and seems to run the same v8 version of an optimized client and it takes him 1000 seconds or less for each work unit and it takes my computer on average 2700 seconds. That is a massive difference for the same setup.

I am the Public Relations / Outreach Director & Webmaster for Aldrich Astronomical Society. Needless to say I am a space geek. I would love to go up into space. I don't think I would take my chances on a test vehicle though. What fun is it if you don't live to enjoy it? Someone get me NCC-1701-J from Star Trek Enterprise.

There are tens of thousands of members and a small percentage donate cash to help run the cause. With the minimum donation being $10 I am curious to why more people don't donate. People may think their $10 may not do much, but pooled with all the other donations it surely helps.

C'mon people donate!

In addition to being an Alpha Tester for boinc and a member of Seti@home I am on the Board of Directors of an astronomy club in central Massachusetts known as Aldrich Astronomical Society, Inc. We recently were awarded by Astronomy Magazine with their Public Outreach award which is awarded to one astronomy related organization a year from all over the world. I am the Public Outreach Coordinator for the society and after talking to our SETI teacher I thought why not start a Seti@home team for our society. So here it is.
