reconnect with SETI???
(Message 742281)
Posted 21 Apr 2008 by Bluegrass Post: We'd like to invite you to reconnect with SETI@home. Our records show that you've been with SETI@home since 19 May 1999, but it's been 986 days since you last returned a work unit. We want you back, and here's why: I am sending in work units almost daily. Where would this message be generated from? |

An Actual Computer Bug (Apr 17 2007)
(Message 548281)
Posted 18 Apr 2007 by Bluegrass Post: I've been trying to upload results for the last 3 hours and get the message that the project servers may be down. Maybe that bug wasn't dead after all. I hava also been trying to upload for 18 hours and no connection. I get the following Access to reference site succeeded. Project servers may be down. I checked and servers are not down. What gives???? |

RAC with intel pentiuim 4
(Message 465254)
Posted 25 Nov 2006 by Bluegrass Post: ok Thanks for your comments Alinator and all. I think I see the big picture a bit better. I suspected as much.; But, the comment to you can get a bigger cache of work for your host by merely increasing the "Connect to Network" setting in your General Prefs. I cannot find any preferences anywhere near this title. Where might I find this?? :-) BG |

Posted 25 Nov 2006 by Bluegrass Post: For the 5th time this month, I canot get work from Seti nor can I upload, so comm is down. Why can't we get more than 2 work uknits at a time. 2 units only lastme 4 hours. I would like to get at least 8 in my queue to last a full day of seti being down for the count., Is there a place where I can stipulate this need like a preferences section? RAC with intel pentiuim 4
(Message 463120)
Posted 21 Nov 2006 by Bluegrass Post: I am getting a RAC of 400 with my intel pentium 4 PCX for the past month. Isee others with the same computer getting a RAC of over 6000. What??? I am allowed by seti server only 2 work kunits at a time. Others are showing over 25 work units being worked on. Is this an example of someone rich using 15 PC's at a time and getting credit for one intel pentium 4? Otherwise, he has found a way for the seti-server giving him many many work kunjits to crunch on 1 pc. Anyone have a clue? Bluegrass in Hawaii |

Itried to log off and then log back-in a couple days ago but no joy. TY again |
