why does BOINC not start up automatically when windows boots ??

I have to manually start it every time the pc boots..then it works. I have version 5.10.30


how do I fix this....if I can at all.

You guys have to check out the new movie on SCI-FI Channel called "Mammoth" They use SETI graphics right from the BOINC Screensaver !!

Its when Tom Skerrit is near a PC and you can see the BOINC graphics but they are slightly modified for the movie (no seti logo !) ....but its the BOINC saver NO DOUBT !!

(did it ever occur to have backup servers that run when main servers are down??? then the "outages" would be minimal to non-existant. nope bet that never crossed anyones mind huh?)

neophyte my ass !!! boinc is just crap !! i may be a member here but boinc will never see the light of day on my pc anymore.

I do despise the rantings of neophytes! I have been a part of SETI since May 1999. The problems SETI-Boinc has had are NOTHING compared to the pains we experienced as early users of the Classic project. The influx of Classic users as that project wound down was CERTAIN to cause problems. When the project gets back to normal, set your cache to 4 or 5 days and quit WHINNING! In six years time there has never been a problem that did not work itself out.

good thing its free...otherwise i would sue for reimbursment.

just shut it down forever since the neverending problems just keep coming.

it sucks BAD..why not use the same graphics from Seti@home.....

BOINC saver is worse then "pong"

I dumped boinc awhile ago for not dishing out work....so i waited for 4 months and still no work !!

man this is maddening !!

why in the heck seti classic was stopped is beyond me....if it works DONT FIX IT !!

how long will i have to wait??

you know..for something that needs participation from people...it would be a good idea for it to work correctly !!

so far I have a total credit of 2278.44 / 19.03 and that amount has not changed in three to four months.

I keep finishing work units and getting new ones and yes I am updating my project at least once a day but the credit NEVER goes up....it just stays the same amount all the time.....

geeesh...what a waste...I miss old seti
