Working on an assumption, that you aren't running BOINC as a service:
Is there a shortcut in your startup folder? If you go to that shortcut, right click and select properties. On mine, the target is "C:Program FilesBOINCboincmgr.exe" /s. When I take the /s off, BOINC Manager doesn't minimize. With it, it does. Alternately, you could go to the Run: box, and instead of Normal Window, select Minimized.

It seems to happen to remember the last way you had it when a reboot happened. So if it was open, and you rebooted, it remembers the open. Send it back to the tray (with the X, not the -). Reboot, and see if it remembers it.

It has always done that on my computer. It is off-center but closes in a few seconds.


Mine doesnt close but stays open full screen.............

When I switch on my pc the boinc manager window opens automatically? I know that this is not a major problem but it is very annoying......anybody know how to stop this happening? By the way boinc and seti are running fine I just want to stop this window opening on entering windows.
I an running boinc manager 4.45 and win xp.
