Upload problems seem to be intermittent. As suggested, probably local.

Upload problems at present? Everything looks OK but may be a temporary problem?

The tasks you have will be validated or not (depending on your results) and you will be awarded credit (or not) sooner or later. But someone in the lab has to do it manually, and with a list of things longer than anyone's arm more critical that need attention, the problem of "stuck" tasks have ended up somewhere on the end of the list. They do get cleared up eventually, when is anyone's guess :)

Patience, of course, is a virtue.

Just curious really. This has been hanging around from my past like an unwanted guest:
Completed, waiting for validation since 4 May 2012
I presume I shall never get credit but why is it still there?

We're in for a huge spike in the stats graphs once this lot gets assimilated!

I don't suppose there is anything in this but from my observations of upload outages, they are happening almost exactly every two days. Coincidence? Genuine symptom?

Just one stuck at the moment but it looks as if Cricket is stalling.

My fault, my own fault. My own most grievous fault.
Size really does matter - size of objects on-screen, that it is.
All sorted.

Also using Facebook. Thought it could be AVG PC Tuneup but that's in the clear. AdBlock also appears innocent.
Weird :-(

Totally weird. Still only getting the frame around where the stats should be. Must be something blocking - but what???

I must be missing something but is anyone else unable to access BOINC Stats? I see the page but no stats at all. Where there should be information there is nothing.

I have more units backed up and "ready to report" this morning than I have seen before. When I requested "update", from the project screen, my request was deferred for 3 hrs 22 minutes. It's usually 5 minutes. What is going on? Is this normal?

No, not these days. Have a look at the "Panic Mode On (85)Server Problems" thread.

See what people think about SpyHunter:

And there are free programs like:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Misery is me for sending good money after bad!
On a brighter note, I am once more crunching 5 units at a time: 1 CUDA and 4 CPU, so the crisis appears to have ended (for now?)
Many thanks for all help and suggestions.
Oh, and live long and prosper.

Is BOINC asking for cpu work?

No. It is only asking for NVIDIA work. Many thanks.

This morning I had a problem with some pop-ups that I think came from a new type font that I downloaded. I bought and installed SpyHunter and RegCure. Result, popups seem to have gone but so have my usual four running usual tasks. They were all junked and I have not got any back. CUDA tasks are running normally on my NVIDIA card. I suspect that one of my new programs is somehow blocking BOINC from working normally, but...
Just in case I reinstalled BOINC but that made no difference.
How do I get my work back up and running?

For me it is not so much that AP jobs freeze but some tend to start normally, get around half way through, run incredibly slowly but eventually speed up again and finish normally.
I know there is experimentation with various types of AP units now so maybe this is what I am seeing. I have definitely had some jobs go through within the hour and a quarter predicted while some take over five times that.

I was having no trouble with this at all until today. A few days all it took to deal with the problem was to "allow exception", reboot and back to normal. Now it is regularly being picked up by AVG and the above procedure no longer works. This time the problem was with two Astropulse units:

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=1260284332
and
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=1259227541
I get a message to say that BOINC cannot communicate with the client.
The only way to get back to normal is to reinstall BOINC.

Anyone got any suggestions?
