Unable to attach Seti@Home

Posted 26 Nov 2005 by Victor Quiros Post: There is a version 5.2.11 Hi, Thanks! I downloaded and installed version 5.2.11 and although at the beginning I got the same request from the server when trying to attach SETI@Home I opted not to detach the project and try again, but instead let the application run normally (with a scheduler request linked to the SETI@Home's URL)... A few minutes later the problem seemed to have cleared "by itself". This is what I got from the server *after* the last account key request (and attachment failure): 11/26/2005 10:00:28 AM|http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/|Master file download succeeded 11/26/2005 10:00:28 AM|http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/|Sending scheduler request to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi 11/26/2005 10:00:28 AM|http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/|Reason: Requested by user 11/26/2005 10:00:28 AM|http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/|Requesting 8640 seconds of new work 11/26/2005 10:00:30 AM|http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/|Scheduler request to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi succeeded 11/26/2005 10:00:30 AM|SETI@home|New host venue: home 11/26/2005 10:00:30 AM|SETI@home|Successfully attached to SETI@home 11/26/2005 10:00:32 AM|SETI@home|Started download of setiathome_4.18_windows_intelx86.exe 11/26/2005 10:00:32 AM|SETI@home|Started download of better_banner.jpg 11/26/2005 10:00:35 AM|SETI@home|Finished download of better_banner.jpg 11/26/2005 10:00:35 AM|SETI@home|Throughput 4763 bytes/sec 11/26/2005 10:00:35 AM|SETI@home|Started download of setiathome_4.18_windows_intelx86.pdb 11/26/2005 10:02:13 AM|SETI@home|Finished download of setiathome_4.18_windows_intelx86.exe 11/26/2005 10:02:13 AM|SETI@home|Throughput 7123 bytes/sec 11/26/2005 10:02:13 AM|SETI@home|Started download of 18ja04aa.14951.5842.804838.138 11/26/2005 10:03:09 AM|SETI@home|Finished download of 18ja04aa.14951.5842.804838.138 11/26/2005 10:03:09 AM|SETI@home|Throughput 6479 bytes/sec 11/26/2005 10:04:49 AM||Suspending computation and network activity - user is active |

Posted 26 Nov 2005 by Victor Quiros Post: Which password do you use? The one from Seti Classic won't work. Hi, Thanks for your reply. I entered to my account settings and created a new password. That's the password I'm using when trying to attach SETI@Home. The server seems to acknowledge both my e-mail and my password but it keeps asking for my account key although I have no way to send it through the current dialog box used in the application to "attach using an existing account". I'm downloading version 5.2.10 right now to see if it helps. Victor. P.S.: This is what I get from the server: 11/26/2005 9:10:25 AM|http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/|Detaching from project 11/26/2005 9:10:25 AM||request_reschedule_cpus: project op 11/26/2005 9:12:37 AM||Fetching config info from http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/get_project_config.php 11/26/2005 9:12:38 AM||Missing account key |

Posted 26 Nov 2005 by Victor Quiros Post: Hello: I have linked my Seti@Home Classic Account to BOINC, but whenever I try to attach SETI@Home to BOINC ("using an existing account") it fails to do so. I go to the "messages" panel and see a message from the server that says "missing account key", however the "attach using an existing account" dialog box in BOINC doesn't ask for the account key. It just requires e-mail and password. I haven't found a way to attach the project through the web either. I'm using version 5.2.8 with Win2K Pro. Thanks in advance for your help and sorry if this has been asked before. Victor. |
