2) Message boards : Number crunching : Athlon 64 Benchmark Times - Way Off? (Message 2569) Posted 29 Jun 2004 by James Michael Sambrook Post: Before we get started, I'm running BOINC v3.19 on Windows XP Professional, using all of my time on SETI@Home. I've been crunching on my Athlon 64 for about a week or so. When I run the benchmarks, I am told that the WUs should take approximated 2:50 to crunch. In reality, the times are closer to 2:00, give or take 10 minutes. Are the benchmarks this far off for everyone, or do they just not work properly for 64 bit processors? Just curious...
