I'll be short and sweet with this:
2004 election: widest spread in over 25 years for a presidential election. that tells me that a fair majority of the people recognized that bush was the best man for the job.

Stock Market: Does not watch only P-Span (president's personal tv show) It watches CNN, Fox, and C-Span. This means to me that simply because the president delays his morning cup of coffee, the stock market will not collapse. In more reasonable terms, the stock market is not solely influenced by the presidents actions or policies, so i would really appreciate it if you un informed posters would PLEASE stop blaming EVERY little drop in any economic sector on the president. I would also submit that just because the economy is doing well, that doesnt mean it is all because of the president either. The economy is much more complex than that. Come on, give capitalism some credit here, it's not A+B=C. It's closer to quantum physics than algebra. Now, the lowly College student will step off his soap box to go back to living his wonderfully busy life and will probably check back in a bit to see how things are going. Oh yeah...Siran and Tom...go git im! :-D

sounds good. yeah, i used to take and run it on my old schools network when i was in highschool...had about 400 machines running seti and pulling the exe and all the WU's from a laptop i had hidden in a teachers desk. I was such a rebel! ;) that was put to an end when they finally got some managed switches and figured out where the compy was. I lost a great laptop, but thats what i get for doing it. A lesson to all of you...hide things better! :-P anyhow. It would certainly be a nice feature to be able to have a network-based boinc host that could parse units out to clients to help reduce overall network load. Maybe have somethign that you can set it to dl from the net at 4am or whenever and get enough packets to support the clients for the next few days, then load again when the server's cache is down to 10% or something like that...yet another thing to do suggested by someone that doesnt have the knowledge to do it!

Is there any way to setup boinc to locate data from a shared network drive? I remember that back in the day i used to simply run seti off the shared drive itself from whatever computer without needing to install separately. Can this still be done effectively? (havent tried it yet...didnt want to mess up an install because i have very little time to spend right now on anything)
