1) Questions and Answers : Macintosh : choosing optimal functions (Message 812054) Posted 26 Sep 2008 by Robert W. Dahlke Post: I recently upgraded to OX 10.5.5 on my PPC G5 2.7. Since then, SETI has frequently hung up with the screensaver showing some work, then stopped with a "choosing optimal functions" comment in the upper-left corner--even though it's been running for over 24 hours (when it usually takes about 4). Any idea what's wrong, or what I can do to fix it?
