i don't tinker with the computer setup. so 'over clocking' is ruled out.
may be i've to do some 'dusting' as suggested or make my computer to work in a cosy atmosphere!
thanks for your inputs.

I see two validation errors. These mean that something went wrong with the computation, and your result did not match the result of the other user(s) that have returned the results. If this is a frequent happening, you might want to check your system for overheating, overly aggressive overclocking, and bad RAM.

On the missing file, I have no idea which file is missing as the results available to us on the web are not indicating that there was a file upload problem.

thanks.
there were validation errors earlier also.
now, what is aggressive overclocking? (for the time being, i'm assuming 'over heating' or 'bad RAM' is not the culprit)
my connection is not always on. periodically i connect. can this be the cause?

It's hard to tell with your computers hidden. Un-hiding your computers will help us see what error messages the returned results are leaving. To unhide your computers, go to your SETI@Home preferences page and change the setting "Should SETI@Home show your computers on its web site?" to "yes". Don't forget to save your new preferences.

Once you do this, we will be able to see the errors left behind for up to 24 hours after they go through the Validator.

Is it 'visible' now?

i use window platform.
after completing the computation some time it is unable to upload the result and the message says 'file not found' as the reason and credit is not provided due validation is not successful.

why is it happening sometimes?
why is it that 'file is not found'? and which file?
