This means that it will run regardless of the preferences set for it. Assuming your co-workers are happy with you running BOINC on their machines in the off-hours, a quick right-click and select from the taskbar shouldn't be very intrusive.

2) Questions and Answers : Wish list : BOINC Startup (Message 51947) Posted 7 Dec 2004 by Sam Edwards Post: If you're always sitting in front of the computer when it starts up, the best thing to do is pin BOINC to your start menu, and then remove it from your startup load. However this relies on you remembering to load it from the Start menu when everything else has finished churning away. You can also assign BOINC as a screensaver only, which means when you walk away from your computer for a while it will start up automatically. Else the best thing to do is fetch a cup of tea while you wait for the computer to load everything up.
