Nonono...

I don want it to dial automatically (The person who own the computer wont be happy with extra calls on his phone-bill)

For an hour every evening or so, Internet is avaible when he is reading his mail etc, and then is when SETI got a change of sending and recieving data.

Completely unattended.

I need the commandline version of BOINC to run as a service on a Windows NT machine.

As i understood it, only the commandline version can be run as a service.

But i do not have the equipment or knowledge to compile it myself.
Anyone know where to get it?

If you were running BOINC on a computer with dialup, and you had no daily control over it. (Another person uses it and don´t want to help BOINC to connect)

How would you tune BOINC to have it to automatically connect and do its work, but not bother the user about it?
7) Questions and Answers : Windows : SETI on a server running a critical system (Message 11186)

I am working as a technichan an a big company in sweden.

Many of our server do never reach the limit of their capacity.
Conclusion: There are plenty of power left to run SETI on them also. But i am not sure it is a good idea... the systems we are running are critical for the company daily work...

What are your thoughts in this matter?

As i understand this, a snapshot was taken on May the 12(?) and transfered into the BOINC system.

What will happen to all the work (and credits) that have been and will be done in the classic project since may?
