No offense taken. I'm used to schizophrenia by now, but the voices come back in force if I don't take my meds on time.

Thanks for everybody's help.

Ozz, most people don't know I have it when they see me in person, so I have no idea how anybody could divine it from a message board.

"That's funny, you don't show any signs of schizophrenia to me."

That's funny, I didn't know you could hear the voices in my head telling you I don't have schizophrenia.

I may be medicating for it, but it's not complete coverage. If it weren't for the medication, I'd be worried about meeting aliens, not devoting computer time to finding them.

BilBG, the reason I'm asking is not a matter of liking which project more, but a matter of distributing work evenly.

"You Hide your computers - why?
There is NO sensitive info which we can see - only the type of CPU, GPU and OS."

Like I said. Paranoid schizophrenia. I'm afraid you're just going to have to humor me. It's not under my control.

You're also going to have to please explain resource share. I'm not computer literate.

My computer is on 24/7 except for Saturday night and Sunday morning.

"When you say "My installer is doing the same thing" (hang in the middle of installation) do you refer to the file boinc_6.10.18_windows_intelx86.exe"

Yes, but apparently it's working, according to Ageless.

"I'm fully assuming your BOINC is overworked with what you've loaded it up with"

I had no idea that could happen, because I've seen people on this forum working a lot more than four(if I'm interpreting everybody's stats correctly). Should I withdraw from a project or two? Or should I distribute the resources better?

By the way, I've hidden my computer because I have paranoid schizophrenia, and opening it for everybody to view seems Big Brother-ish.

My installer is doing the same thing Raul is reporting. I thought that was clear. I've tried everything except for what was recommended for error messages because I didn't receive any, and the installer is still doing the same thing. I thought that was also clear. My screensaver is doing something it's never done before. I also that that was clear enough. So how am I miscommunicating?

I'm not receiving any error messages, but my installer is doing the same thing. I've tried all of the above. For some reason, BOINC is now only performing Docking@home and when it switches between projects, it only lists what I am participating in, then goes back to Docking. It's never done that before.

Rebooting worked! I need to remember that something so simple works for so many things.

By the way, when my pooter goes into Suspend mode, the monitor switches off. When I had this problem, the monitor stayed on as if there was still a picture being sent to it.

Thanks

I have no idea what's wrong with BOINC. Yesterday, it was working fine. I haven't downloaded any new versions or anything for a while, but today all I see is a blank screen, and just to see if it was still running, I made a note of what progress I had, then left it alone for a few hours. When I came back, I saw that no progress had been made. Can somebody tell me what's wrong? (And please put on the kid gloves, I'm not computer literate)

Well, reinstalling the software didn't use the advanced function, but the repair function managed to put the BOINC screensaver on the list. Thanks for your help.

I didn't click on Advanced because I'm not very computer literate. Should I reinstall .31 using Protected Application?

Did you see earlier in the thread that I had issues with .36? Also, I have no idea what a Protected Mode Install is, so I don't know if I installed it that way or not.

I followed Aurora Borealis's suggestion and downgraded to .31 because of the issues I had with .36, but now my screensaver won't activate. I don't even see BOINC listed in my section of screensavers to choose from.

Now I have a different issue. I've implemented .31 and the screensaver won't activate.

Well, at least with this upload problem that is apparently affecting my Docking and Einstein as well, I can say that the Climateprediction I've been working on for the last year is finally getting some quality time.
