Posted 6 Dec 2005 by U.F. Oskam Post: FOUND IT... Problem was, that the proxysettings waren't changeable (greyed out). The next sequence solved the problem: Uninstalled the client, restarted the PC, deleted the remaining Boinc-folder and reinstalled the boinc-client. After that I could change the proxy-settings and got -- finally -- connection. Everything is now running well. Thanks for all your advises. Ulco |

Posted 1 Dec 2005 by U.F. Oskam Post: Do you enter the whole URL (including 'http://')? And making sure that it contains no leading or trailing spaces? First: i have normal internet connection, the download was performed at the same computer, second: i've never seen a password prompt. And do still have no connection. In research... the proxy-information of my LAN connection are not transferred into the preferences of boinc... could that give the problem? If yes do you know how to change te proxysettings? Oskam Post: Using 5.2.13 on winXPse, removed old setiathome, installed this boinc version, trying to connect to my account with Add Project, but programm reacts -after long communication - with "Given URL is not an existing BOINC project".
