Missing BOINC.msi
(Message 872348)
Posted 5 Mar 2009 by tiggertim Post: Hello, I've jsut tried to install BOINC 6.4.7 over Boinc 5.8.15, as I have done in the past with upgrades. However, now I am being asked for the BOINC.msi, which should be in the download installation files, but is not the correct version. I did a search, but was still unable to get the correct version anywhere. Since trying to do the install, Boinc manager is no longer in the Boinc folder, so I can not run Boinc, I can't uninstall the old version either without the missing msi. Win2k sp4, 1Gb Any thoughts? Many thanks in advance Tim Homes |

switching between projects BOINC 4.45
(Message 170340)
Posted 21 Sep 2005 by tiggertim Post: My problem is that BOINC (4.45)is no longer switching between projects. I have the normal one hour switch, between SETI (95 RS) & Einstien (50 RS). However, BOINC has not been switching between the project, but has carried on with whichever project was listed first in the work directory. It has now completely run out of work for Einstien. When I try to update Einstien, I get the following; 21/09/2005 9:20:05 p.m.|Einstein@Home|Requesting 0 seconds of work, returning 0 results No new work for Einstien is forth comming. I have been able to switch project by using the suspend function, but that has not stopped depletion of work from Einstien. W2K SP4, Athlon 2600, 512MB, 120Gb, Zone Alarm. Tim Homes |

Localized prefrences/configuration
(Message 8647)
Posted 16 Jul 2004 by tiggertim Post: I am wanting to be able to save localized prefrences, like Disable BOINC network access, etc.. on the local machine. Each time I have a reboot, it forgets that I have changes some settings, I usually have always run, as well as disable network. when there is a reboot, BOINC will over-ride my internet setting and dial up, once connected, it won't disconnect... I think it could be set via the ini file. Tim Homes. |
