I've been thinking lately about how much I miss seeing SETI@Home running on my idle computer. That, of course, led me back here and made me think about everyone in this community.

I joined when I was pretty young—probably one of the youngest active members for quite a while. Over the years, I’ve learned so much from all of you. This place has helped me through weird 1% problems, and I basically grew up reading the forums and chatting with people here. I just wanted to pop in and say thank you for all the great times. It honestly makes me happy that we can still come back, post here, and look back on everything we built together.

The last time I was around, I was working in property management—hotels and apartments mostly. Since then, I’ve switched careers and now work at a CSL Plasma center here in the U.S. I started in the lab processing plasma donations, and now I’m training to be a maintenance tech on the next generation of machines we’re using. It’s been a great opportunity, and for the first time in a long while, I actually love my job. It feels like I’m finally finding some happiness in this crazy world.
